The Statues of Budapest

I had a bit of a whirlwind tour of the haunting city of Budapest, where statues seem to hide in the stones of the buildings and emerge at their leisure. It's a beautiful city but I think the massive statues and stunning Hungarian women were a bit of a shock to me after two months in Muslim countries that have almost no statues (save Ataturk, Turkey's "Eternal Leader") and women who are much more fully clothed. I had a bizzare 10 hour overnight train ride to Prauge after waiting in the Budapest train terminal for three hours in the middle of one of the most intense thunderstorms I've experienced. Prauge's been excellent, if overcast, the last six days and I'll write about it and post some pictures soon, but for now there's a bit of a line forming for the computer. The downside to free internet, I suppose.
